Paints

Keep in mind that MM enamels seem to have no consistancy in viscosity from bottle to bottle so some bottles may need more or less thinner.
I use the side of the color cup on the AB to determine if it's how I like or not. I add clean thinner to the cup first then add the paint. Until you are familiar with the process 50/50 is a good place to start. Draw up the contents into a pipette and squirt it back into the cup about fifteen times to mix it up good. Then using the pipette I draw up a small amount of paint and let it run down the side of the cup. If it sticks to the cup and runs slowly I add more thinner and check again. If it runs off instantly and I can see the chrome through the paint it's to thin and I add paint.
I'm looking for it to run off quickly but not show the chrome.
Once you are ready to test shoot it fire a short burst off of the project to clear the thinner and get product to the nozzle then apply it to the kit. Like Gerald said, it's much better to use light thin coats than heavy single passes.
