Michaels art supply carries badger 10' braided hoses in black.  If you go online, you can usually print a 40% off coupon for one item.  Makes it a $15 item if I remember correctly from about 6 mos ago.

I am getting the Badger Patriot 105, and that's all I need a hose for.  I just want to know what hoses are compatible with it.

It should say "Badger airbrush hose" explicitly in the item description.

What will you use for air source?  Most compressor, but not all, has 1/4" NPT connector. Check with the seller to make sure that is what the hose has on the compressor end.

Unfortunately, they are not all standard. See the many hose options at the Dixie Art web site. Call the seller first to find out what they have to match your compressor to the Badger 105 airbrush.

There is a vinyl hose or a braided hose. Vinyl hoses are designed for low pressure systems, like propel cans and are only about 4'. Braided hoses are much higher quality. I would suggest getting the Badger 10' braided with moisture trap, around $28 at Dixie Art.

So long folks!

Hey everyone.

I haven't gotten the Patriot 105 airbrush that I said I would get in the Airbrush Features forum, so I need to know the quick connect size of the airbrush so I can get the correct hose.  I hope this isn't a stupid question.

Thanks

It is a good question. It is stupid only if you don't ask. Most of the generic airbrush hose, quick disconnect etc. are for 1/8" threads. It will fit the Iwata, Grex or Harder & Steenbeck and most of the clone airbrushes as is. Badger or Paasche use their own different sized thread and will need adapter.

How many airbrushes do you have? And what makes are they? If for the Badger Patroit only, it would be better just to purchase a Badger hose.

No matter what you do, try to buy all items at the same time. Most airbrush sellers on the net charges $8-12 shipping for each purchase whether you buy a $1 or a $300 item. Some offers free shipping above a certain (say, $60) total.

I am getting the Badger Patriot 105, and that's all I need a hose for.  I just want to know what hoses are compatible with it.

Whomever you buy it from will be able to match it to your airbrush. I don't bother with the quick connects, I find hand tightening on a braided hose works fine for me.

Here is what you need to connect a Badger to a quick connect adapter.

Quick connect adapters all have the same nipple.  As listed here.

Here is a hose to fit the Quick Connect.
