Grex certainly has a good reputation for quality. I have the Grex Genesis XG and it's a great airbrush. Don't have their compressor but have read nothing but good things about it.

I haven't used the compressor, but I've been using the Tritium TG brush for about 6 weeks and I love it. It's easy to use, very precise, and easy to clean. Mine came with a .3mm nozzle and tip.I've changed to a .2 mm which seems to work better for me. I use enamels and tend to thin them a good bit. I've had no problems with tip clogs or anything else. It's a really good brush.

I saw the grex demo'd and tried it myself, they have the ability to spray air without paint coming out as you release and start, something my Iwata cant do.  for intense 1/72 luftwaffe camo jobs I can't have an airbrush that might spatter or spray when I least expect it.  I am planning on getting a tritium when they release the traditional style of holding it in the next few months.  I cant adapt to the pistol grip style handle, my hand shakes when holding at that angle.  The .30 needle model side feed is what I want.  And cant wait to get it!

Looking for Ralph, who owned the hobby shop in Lake Forest CA 80s-90s.

While not able to comment on the combination.  I do use a "mature" model Grex ( Genesis.XT) and enjoy it very much.

Having come back to air brushing after a multi decade absence the Grex was a joy to relearn on; easy to use, comfortable to hold, minimal adjustments to achieve good results. Your combo wasn't available at that time  -sigh-

The compressor, I have heard demo'd  at my LHS was very quiet and certainly "tuned" to handle the requirements of the Grex  brushes .

In addition,  the Grex representative  I have talked to and dealt with ( through my LHS) has been both knowledgeable and customer oriented, a plus in todays world.

Good luck on your purchase

Steve
