Is Windex good for cleaning away all acrylics including Future?

Its what I use. I will use some lacquer thinner when I do complete breakdowns.

I use it ll the time!  Hand brushes, air brush, Future.  It cleans the hand brushes and airbrushes a lot better than just water.  I cleaned some of my older brushes with it and it made them look better!  I've even used it to thin out paint for the airbrush!  The blue doesn't effect the color of the paint at all.  Safer to use than paint thinner and smells better too!

I use the Wal-mart brand of Windex.  Costs 1.00 and cleans up my airbrush every time.  The best way to clean your airbrush would be with an ultrasonic cleaner.

ultra sonic cleaner? I use windex for clean up with Vallejo and ak acrylics. MM and Tamiya aren't true acrylics so I use lacquer thinner for those.

Please note that Windex/Windolene in the UK no longer has ammonia in it.

Finding an adequate replacement from the commercially available similar cleaners is becoming something of a quest here....

Can you buy ammonia in the small jugs over there? Wondering if you could mix your own basically. Its pretty cheap here but I wouldnt use straight ammonia all the time.

The ones that I see most over here are probably a bit smaller than a liter, maybe half, so its not a huge amount of it.

Best I've seen so far is a 1/2 Litre bottle at 30%, enough for 6 Litres/1.585 US Gallons !

Might have to go that route, when I need to strip acrylic from a model.

I've found something in a Home Bargains store (in the UK) called "Wizz Bathroom Cleaner", a green liquid with less than 1% Ammonia, good enough to shift year-old Vallejo crud from a mixing palette, & general cleanup, inc bathrooms, but it won't shift my fave paint mix as below.

Mr Muscle Kitchen  (orange bottle in the UK) has a similar ingredients, but I haven't tested it.

I don't use windex/windolene as a thinner or cleaner for acrylic paint. though

I use Medea airbruush cleaner to errr clean my a/b,

& Vallejo Polyurethane Primer + cut with Future/Klear (old formula) as a primer, tough as boots.

Yes, when you're done airbrushing use an ultrasonic cleaner.  Even if your airbrush flushes clean, paint can still build up on the needle when not in use and the trigger will be hard to pull back next time you use it, Especially if the AB has a fine needle/nozzle assembly.
