As some of you may have read on my topic about the Telford show this year Alclad are starting their own range of paints. These are enamels and I was told would come in the expected colours. The range is small at the moment with 8 or so colours. I baught the "sand" colour which they call US Camouflage Tan FS595B and wanted to show you how it goes down.
I base coated a plastic spoon with automotive primer. I use spoons as they are cheap and have convex and concave surfaces so I can see how paints interact without having to "test" on a model.

My impression are as follows
Goes down well but I'd expect that these days
Looks right to me for the colour
Clean up was fine, I used Alclads own cleaner with no issues, You have to remember this is only for airbrushes.
I used very little for the spoon, OK its not a huge area but the coverage was fine and I'd expect to get at least two or three kits from one bottle depending on the size.
Feels nice and smooth
Cant say how it will handle washes etc and I want to give it a day to harden before I use one but I'll add that in later. You do need to remember that most washes will reacte with it if you don't seal it as well.
At the moment I'd say that I'd be more than tempted to use them once I use up some other paints.
