Get what you need from the bottle and cap the bottle back up relatively quickly because those thinners are very fast eveporating. The only time you might need to thin a little is towards the end of the bottle. The stuffs like water but covers very well. The more you leave that cap off the more it becomes less watery and you need it watery to act as metalizer, otherwise it just looks like any other silver paint. Also the coats the better on what you're painting..
Thanks. That makes sense. I've decanted some of the "buffing" metalizer and it sprays fine. This "non-buff" looks thin too.

I gotta tell you, that stuff doesn't need to be thinned at all, sprays right from the bottle,it's very thin, but if for whatever reason yo felt you needed to,either is fine, hardware store stuff is cheaper.
If I need to thin this, which would be better, hardware store lacquer thinner or Tamiya Lacquer thinner? This is Aluminum non-buff 1418.
Thanks
