Order of painting outside and inside of model car
Posted by dlh on Monday, August 2, 2021 12:07 PM

I have done this both ways: inside first in SG black, and then outside in body color,  and outside first, then inside in SG black.  I'm just wondering if you have any tips about either order, (especially masking). Seems like about the same amount of masking either way.

I'm building the Tamiya 1/12 p34 formula one car.  Very fun build with lots of PE included in the kit.

Thanks,

Dave

I do inside first.  The outer finish is such a big part of a car model - I'd rather overspray the interior (if I'm going to screw up, and I always screw up Big Smile)

Thanks,

John
