Free To A Good Home - Medea Whisper Jet II Plus
Posted by mvaldeslora on Saturday, August 14, 2021 8:47 PM

Hi all. As the subject line says. I have one of these in good working condition that I would happily give away to someone on this forum. I have had this a looong time and it has served me well but I would like to treat myself to a new compressor that is quieter and/or that moves more air. This one operates at about 70 db and can move around 1 CFM. (I am considering a Silentaire model or an Iwata Hammerhead Shark for my next compressor). You can probably find the specs and some pictures if you do a Google search. I don't have the storage but I also don't want to go to the bother of selling it either. I am in the New York area - Jersey City, NJ to be precise - so obviously someone close by would be preferred. I will also ship it but that person would pay the shipping costs. With the box it probably weighs about 40 lbs. Let me know of interest and of any questions.

Don't need your baby, but take a look at the Fortress 2 gallons from Harbor freight.  Runs at 60db, Will go to 135 psi, and has a regulator to get you in the ballpark.

Added benefit is it will run a nail gun or air up tires.  Think it's a California Air Unit, looks identical.  Runs around $165 I think

Wow! That Fortress 2 does look pretty enticing. The specs are terrific and the price is amazing! Definitely worth a look. Thank you!!

I always wonder about stuff like that from Harbor Freight because I get tempted now and again. I never know if these reviews are accurate or not because it's a bit hard finding reviews that are on an actual forum. Then again if you get bogged down reading reviews you can talk yourself out of a 6 buck toothbrush.

I've bought from Harbor Freight for years. Most tools work well and have used them for decades, some don't last one or two jobs. It's crap-shoot but the averages are in their favor. Plus, they offer a warranty policy for the mechanical items....for a price of course.

Full disclosure, I don't use any Harbor Freight tools for my modeling at present but have in the past.

Haven't had any issues for the year and a half I've had it, but not used daily either.

Mario;

 I could use it. I don't have the cash for shipping till the fourth, but my compressor took a super *** dump and so I need an airbrush that will work for me. Contact me if you want in Messages!
