Aztek AirBrushes!!!!!!

I'm looking at the same airbrush. I noticed that Testor sells a complete airbrush kit that includes the A470 and the Testor Blue Mini Airbrush Compressor along with some other accessories for $200. Anybody have an opinion on whether this is a good deal or not?

I used to have an A470... and I liked it! It's especially good if you use a lot of different types of paint... the heads work best with different kinds of paint.

I had a couple extra heads of the kind I used most so I could change them and clean up later.

It's a good system overall.

In bearair the aztek 4709 (aztek 470 plus woden box, six tips, lots of cups, video, etc.) in special 89$.
I´ve heard good stuff and some bad too about it!
Never tried it, it was one of my wishes for airbrush but in the end i chose the Iwata eclipse cs, i´m waiting for this beauty (it will take too long, i´m afraid)

I use an Aztek 470 and the worse I've had to do is replace some of those tips - but I suspect that is due in large part to my not-always-so-diligent celaning (mea culpa!!).

However, I'd get an honest to goodness compressor. Judging from what I've heard from others who have tried using the cans, I think you'll get better results from a compressor and in the long run I hazard to speculate that it will pay for itself vice getting replacement cans every so often....

An alternative to a compressor (for those of us on a fixed income) is a car inner tube filled to capacity, with a table top round, available from Home Depot. Just hook up your hose to the valve stem, put the table top on the inner tube and press down with your foot to adjust the pressure.

I have two different Aztrec airbrushes, the 470 and one of the vairants that accept the same spray heads. I'm happy with the brush and the results. Just keep the tips clean on a regular basis and you should have no trouble. A compressor is the best way to go; a regulated spray pressure will prevent a number of problems. Hope this helps. -Ed
