Future Floor Shine?
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, August 9, 2003 8:02 PM
I've seen a few posts here that mention they cover their models with Future Floor Shine Polish. What is the purpose of using that? I would never of thought of using a floor product during my builds. Any insight would be appreciated.

Future is an acrylic gloss. Its self-leveling, so it covers surfaces evenly. Clear parts can be dipped into it for the ultimate shine and clarity. Its the only gloss I buy. It can be airbrushed, handbrushed, applied to gauges to simulate glass, it can even be used as an adhesive for small clear parts. Yep. You heard right. Its the same stuff that goes on the floor. I and a lot of others swear by it. Try it out on an old piece of foggy glear plastic. Wash it first, let it dry, and then dip it in Future. The results are "clear !'

We're here to help each other, a free exchange of ideas and experiences. I have learned more from this website than I would have on my own, stumbling around in the dark. Check out the galleries for an idea of the experience that can be obtained here. These modelers know what they're talking about ! (i'm not speaking of myself, but of ALL the GREAT models in the gallery !)
