Tigerman has got you covered in the other post and I quite agree with his choice!

Thanks for the references,   (Gunze paint # H37, H66, H80) I do not think Tamiya makes any of these paints.  I am wondering if the paints could be created using two or more Tamiya paints?

If you can't access the IPMS Stockholm charts at the moment, then this one may be helpful:

I was going to send you to the IPMS Stockholm website for Urban Fredrikksen's color reference charts, but they are being moved to a new host and may be down for up to 48 hours. Here are the links for future reference.

The first link includes FS colors and some articles on accuracy:

http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/colorcharts.asp

The second link has almost every major manufacturer:

http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/colorcharts_2.asp

If you post the actual number call outs I'll see if I can get you the Tamiya equivilents...

So long folks!

Converting Gunze paint to Tamiya
Posted by ua0124 on Monday, July 24, 2006 8:53 PM
I am building the DML Hornisse Kit.  It lists the Gunze paints for Wood Brown, RLM Sandy Brown 79 and Khaki Green.  I have searched the web for a good conversion chart...no luck.  All I have is Tamiya paint and the LHS does not carry Gunze paints.  Are there any good conversion charts out there or do you know how to make these colors using Tamiya.  Thanks
