the water trap should go between the compressor & the airbrush, so it will work w/ any brush.
i use a regulator / moisture trap combo plumbed w/ a quick connect directly to the compressor. then the line out goes to the brush.
moisture traps are actually more effective further down the line as it gives the moisture in the air more time to condense. i have also seen tips in FSM about running a coil of airhouse in a bucket of cold water between the compressor and the trap to really wring the water out. but it looked like a pain in the butt, and i don't get moisture problems.

Badger makes a combo piece like the one that i use that costs abt $65 retail and maybe $50 online. all i can say is save up and buy one, it's worth it!

I dont think the Azteks can use a water trap. I don't know one way or the other. As for others I have just started to return to the hobby so I haven't gotten anything else done. But what little I have done hasen't been a large problem other then this.

I still don't know what to do to fix either one of these issues.

you dont have a compressor with a regulator try adding some more thinner i cant realy hep you snice you dont have a regulator if you can try looking for them on ebay. Did it do that on any other of your models before.

One more question btw do you have a water trap cause if you dont that is most likely the problem.

K, JimZ,

If you don't know your PSI, I would reckon you get a pretty good blast. You didn't mention what type your compessor is (airbrush benchtop, home compresor, 220V 80 gallon industrial - Big Smile [:D]). You really should get a regulator - you'd be amazed at what you can do by adjusting air pressure and airbrush settings.

P.S. Thin your paint to the consistency of skim milk.

I am using an old compressor without a regulator, because I cannot afford one. I am using an Aztec 470 and 3000, with a variety of nozzels. I am spraying Model master Enamals.

Maybe it is drying before it hits. Can I fix that or not. As far as a PSI setting I have no idea what it is set it, it is just using what the compressor can handle.

Sounds like the Future is not atomizing properly. What are your needle / air pressure settings?

On your F-4E it seems to me the paint is drying on its way to your model. What kind of paint and thinner are you using?

Guys I need some help. I have two issues to work out.
First I have a problem with Future. After applying it to an F-16 for decaling the Future came out looking like poka dots spots. How can I fix this.

Second I have a problem with a paint joh I did on another model. My F-4E. When I painted the tan for the SEA scheme the paint started to look like a powder. Can I fix these problems? Help me if you can.
