So, what is this thing in my Badger Anthem kit?

Probably a stupid question, but, what is this metal "cup" thing with a spout in the left middle of the kit in this pic? ** EDIT** Pic didn't turn out, but a pic of the kit is on this page. Its the thing on the far right of it. Looks like a tiny teapot kind of thing.

As well, is the larger container just a "mixing" container? Does the smaller one that the paint goes in just fit into the airbrush with an interference fit? (IE - The plastic tube just pushes in and thats all that keeps it attached?)

Sorry if these questiona are dumb, but I've never owned an airbrush before and the instructions are not exactly detailed.

Thanks!

That small metal one is called a color cup which is what I always preferred to use .. You just pour your (thinned and strained) paint right in there, push it into the receiver in the airbrush and your set to go..The jars work the same way but I've always found them to be too cumbersome to use. I just used them to mix paint in.
For modelling purposes the color cup generally holds more than enough.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think I understand how it would work. If I hooked it up, the cup would hit my airline. If I turned it 180 so it wouldn't hit, the thing would be almost upside down (obviously no good). Am I missing something here really basic?

bernse,

Put the color cup into the feed tube of the airbrush and rotate the color cup until it is pretty much up against the airbrush body.
That is how it fits. If you turn the cup outward away from the airbrush then it will be tipped at an angle that will spill. The closer it is to the airbrushes body the more level it will be.

It goes on the left side of the air-brush... they do make one that goes on the right for left-handed users.
