Black plastic beneath how to get over this?
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, September 27, 2003 9:08 AM
i bought an old kit of a rare subject. to my dismay the plastic is black and the camo.... well guessed it right white....
how it is possible for the black not to show through?
PS fine raised detail also.

Since the model is already black you are one step ahead of the game. Once you have painted it white and given it a clear coat, lightly sand the raised detail to expose it and you'll achieve what most modelers do when applying a wash on engraved detail.

Prime it with Testors silver enamel paint. It will be fine. Smile [:)]
