ajthomas,
i use Tamiya acrylics and a Aztec double action.
don't know the model number, i have had it a good long time.
unlike the other frum guys, i don't hate this airbrush.
i use mostly the following recipe:
'tan' nozzle, 20 psi, paint:thinner ratio between 3:1 and 2:1
(i have thinned some as much as 1:1, but not so much lately)
i adjust the thumbwheel so that i just get color, but no spatter, using the airbrush in single action mode. then i paint single or double action depending on what i am trying to accomplish.
i have good results w/ everything but flat white.
mind you, i am not pinstriping 1/144 or 1/72 kits.
i model 1/24 cars, 1/35 armor, 1/48 & 1/32 aircraft.
hope this helps some.
until my buddy turned me on to Tamiya paints and used these numbers and ideas to get me in the ballpark, i was ready to give up on this brush.
i have had few complaints since.
good luck,
ed.
