You could cut open a can, roll it flat, and scan it with a scanner.  Then, make inkjet decals.  Most photo editing software will allow  you to resize to any size you need.

For cigarettes, if you're OK with folding a 3mm x 1mm x .5mm LxWxH paper box, you could go with paper models... FCModelTips has a lot of these. www.fcmodeltips.com is the website.

 In progress:

CAD:

1/35 SINCGARS ICOM/ASIP; 1/35 Flat screen TVs; 1/35 tactical light that I shall reveal later Devil

Models:

1/35 DML M4A1 DV; AFV Club M18 Hellcat; DML StuG IV; DML Armored Jeep w/ .50 cal; Panda Cougar 4x4 MRAP; Academy M3A1 Stuart; 1/700 Midship Models USS Miami; 1/700 Skywave Rudderow Destroyer Escort

I once had a client who wanted me to build his  "huntin" truck in 1/25 scale.

After looking the real truck over I noticed several crushed beer cans in the bed. (along with a few dead furry critters .)

What I did to make 1/25 scale beer cans was this.

I first cut a piece of aluminum foil about 2 inches square.

I then painted diagonal alternating red and white lines across the whole thing.

Then I measured so I could figure out just how big a Budwiser can is in 1/25 and cut the foil into strips.

I then rolled the strip around a small drill bit and  "tada" a beer can.

Since his beer cans were all crushed I didnt have to worry about wording the cans so I just squiggled in some writing and squished them.

it came out perfect

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
