I have used periods and colons from dry transfer sheets. Often when I use a DT sheet I have a lot of punctuation marks left over on the sheet, and using them for rivet or other surface bumps uses them up as a good cause.  I have never tried those new decals, but I have been tempted to try one of those decal sheets.  These I believe are intended for non-flush rivets, right?

I've used Archer decals Casting marks, very very easy to use, plus excellent instructions. They look the business.

I've also used other mfr's weld-seams, decal & pe.

The advantage is: consistency in size & spacing,  plus ease of use, & you get to keep more of your own hair...

The dis-advantage is.... er... um...  Confused  you will run out before you finish detailing your model. & you will need to paint them.

I have not used them personally. But I have seen a few kits done on here where they were used and they look absolutely superb. A TBD and B-17 build come to mind.

Decal rivets, gimick or worth getting?

Hello All,

I have noticed that multiple companies are now producing rivets in the form of decals. Now, I dont know if this os some kind of gimick or, if they really do work well. If they do, it would save quite a bit of time. Have anyone used them? Could you share you opinions good and bad on them.

Thanks,

Will
