NamVet how many times does a 1/200 scale decal sheet need to be enlarged so it becomes 1/144?
My calculator says 138.9% and so does this SITE
Divide 200 by 144. To do any scaling, make a fraction from each scale. The hard part is determining which number goes on top, which on the bottom. Use reasoning here. Do you need to make decal bigger or smaller. If bigger, largest scale number goes on top, so fraction is bigger than 1. If reducing, bigger number goes on bottom so fraction is less than 1.
You can either use the resulting number by itself- say increase by 1.5, or multiply by 100 to convert it to percent. 200/144 =1.39. Multiplying by 100 gives 139%.
