japanese bike plates
Posted by myscreennamesucks on Sunday, March 31, 2013 12:09 AM

hey everyone. so i have a 1/12 kawasaki zypher zr400 by Aoshima. the plan is to exactly recreate my 1/1 scale of the same bike down to every scratch and ding. i want to do the license plate as well, but for anyone that knows anything about japanese license plates, its not quite that simple. theres kanji, weird numbers and all that crap. is there a company that can make a custom plate and a road tax sticker?

Take a picture of the plate and "Shrink" it down in photo shop or something similar.   then just cut it out and mount it.

OR...... take the real plate and "crunch" it up.   Then all you have to do is paint a bunch of squiggly lines on the model plate and crunch it up too.

If the police pull you over for having an unreadable plate  just tell them your a modeler....... It should be fine....

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
