Not sure what "sure thing decaling software" is.  Also not familiar with Artcut.  For maximum compatibility I usually create images and stay with jpeg.  If you have good draw or paint software, why do you need a specialized decaling software?

I use Corel Paint Shop Pro, and can scan from within the program, or open any existing images. I can edit, and then rescale if necessary, and print right from within the art program.

I'm not familiar with using Surething Decal Maker but there was a thread some time ago about it. Check here:

I would think importing your image should be straight forward but, not having used the software, can't really help. Hope the link helps.

Hi Artcut is a "cutter plotter "sofware programe that lets you create anything from scratch. I have corel draw 12, is that simular to your programme?I assumed that "surething" software was the bees knees in decaling. Thanks for the reply.

I use ink space it is open open source and it's  Free.  Many videos on you tube on how to draw but most importantly they will make Vector graphics. Edges will always be smooth.  You can easily up scale. I know Corel will as do this as well but you cant beat free. Personally for me I never work in JPEG, GIf or PNG graphics. I can use the trace command and remake old decals as well.

I build diecast 1/24 scale police cars and im looking for the best decal software to use. Something i can basically take a pic of the vehicle and import the image and resize as necessary. Is there anything out there like this?

Ah, so it is software for things like Crickut or others of those computer-aided thin film cutters!  I have been interested in one of those machines.  I would assume if they allow importing of any graphic files, they would allow jpeg import, but have never used any of that software.  However, as I say, I want to try one of those machines one of these days.  There have been previous threads in the Tools forum on those machines.  If you do any work like that, either successful or unsuccessful, please post about it.  There are several of us itching to try those machines.  Sounds like they would be great for making masks.\
