I feel your pain, bro. The Future and the decal over it will come off with Windex, but I'm not sure the Vallejo top coat will let that happen. Might test it a little on the bottom of the boat

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I have had that happen too. What was the gloss material?

 

I try not to use solvaset etc unless I really need to. It reacts badly with Future and causes a crust that looks like salt if there's too much of it.

 

Otherwise I don't know.

I could use some expert help with my decal process. Photo is aft of u-boat. You can clearly see the "shiny" water level decal. I applied on gloss surface, used 3-4 coats MicroSet, then sprayed Vallejo flat to cover the entire sub. But....
