Semi-matt polyurethane is another option. I have used it several times over decals- used to be the only semi-matt clearcoat available.

Thanks Rooster, will give it a try.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
plasticjunkie rooster513 PJ I've sprayed MRP Semi-matte on some ink jet decals I made recently with no issues. Good to hear Rooter. How long did you let the ink dry before spraying?

Maybe 12-24 hours I think. I put a fan on them to help with the drying and obviously the longer they dry the better. MRP works well I think because it goes on so thin and dry that there is less risk of flooding it and causing issues. I did like 3-5 thin coats I believe.

I printed a decal for one of my bicycles and need it to have a satin or semi gloss finish once applied to the fender. Can I spray MRP semi gloss varnish to the decal as ink sealant ?
