I gloss coat, let that dry 24 hrs minimum, put decal in water for 15-20 seconds, remove it and place it on towel and blot excess water off, cover decal with decal solvent and let that set 30 to 60 seconds, then put coat of decal solvent on area where decal is going. Slide the decal off onto the wet surface. Depending on what type of solvent (usually Super Scale), carefully remove the excess solvent (q tip works great). Let the decal set for a minute or two, then wrap an old t-shirt around my finger and gently press straight down on the decal. Let the decals dry a minimum of 24 hrs then apply top coat. Note: Don't try to press them on if you are using Walther's Solvaset, they soften so badly they will become distorted if you do. Also, if you have to move the decal after its in place, use a pointed paint brush loaded with solvent to move it around.
