Clear coating will help keep them together. Just remember to trim around each decal with a sharp blade (but don't go through the backing paper). The clear coat forms a continuous layer over the entire sheet now.

Try to find some Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating #1303A.

This (under other names) is sometimes used in making decals as the clear coating. It coats well, and stay reasonable flexible.

Look for it at Artist supply stores.

Bob,
I'd try squirting on a coat of Future first - or maybe try it on a decal you might be able to live without - I've used it on old decals for years to prevent cracking. It's thin, very clear and best of all, it works.
Cheers,

I'm almost done with my first kit since '85. It is a kit that was given to me and the year on the sprue is 1974. The decals, when applying them, acted old. I have a bottle of "Testors Clear parts cement & Window maker". The question is: Will this work to seal these old decals, without causing a problem? I have yet to weather the decals. Also, so can or should I weather first and then seal? You master modelers just amaze me, and thanks for your help!!! Bob
