Hmmmmmmm.....that is disappointing criteria. I recall when Pactra tape was the bee's knee's and felt lucky when I found it fairly cheap.

Daywalker included a couple bits of Tammy tape with something he sent me....(I've added them to his shrine).....and I compared the Pactra to the Tammy as far as looks and feel. I see a major difference now!

At first glance they are alike......but the Pactra is very............vinyl-like. The Tammy tape is........well, like fine pliable paper tape.

Glad for all your input!Thumbs Up [tup]

I hope mine helps!

nam,

Yes, the tape is very stretchy. You need to cut it as opposed the ripping a piece off.

Yep.....first thing I noticed, thanks! Just from curiosity I'm delving into a couple searches about the adherents....eh! It's a slow day!Laugh [(-D]

Mine were just the opposite, they stuck too well. Maybe it has to do with the ocean air around here, but I was very disappointed with it. I am now a die hard Tamiya tape user.

It needs to stick first, theres not enough glue to leave residue. I was working with it this morning, it sticks for a short time then falls off. Also while spraying if your psi is at 15 to 20 the tape tends to blow off the area masked. Maybe my rolls are old? They came sealed, so Im left scratching my head.

Ahhhhh........residue issues......I hadn't thought about that! Thank you!

I must say that the rolls I got have excellent tack. I'll test and report!

Happened into a LHS (sliding more to R/C as the others).....got some paint....then asked if they had any Tammy tape. Nope.........but they had the old Pactra tape.......reasonable, so I bought 2. I recall it was very good.....not sure if it's Tamiya quality.

If anyone wants some of this Pactra tape (which seems great) I can hook you up.
