Just have a wife handy to do the actual work!

About the eyes though.....when buying 'reader' glasses.....bring some newsprint that you can't otherwise read.....baseball box scores etc.....as a reference also.

I use an optivisor with a 2.5. Works best for me and much easier to use than my friends 5.0.

I actually took a couple of figures (one each 1/48th and 1/35th and a paintbrush) with me to the rack and tried various readers... For me, it was 2.5.. It helps a lot if you have what you need 'em for when you go shopping for 'em..

Stop at the reading glasses rack at the drug store, see which works best for you. No two eyes are the same, I find the high mags worse than a naked Mk1 eyeball. I'm at that stage of life when I can't see close up or far away...everything in the middle is fine. Of course I do get some funny looks holding the book I'm reading with my feet and turning the pages with my toes. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I'm going to eventually get some dental Loupes off eBay and was wondering what the perferred magnification setting is for working with models?
They start at 2x and go up to 6x.
