Yep, I have a set of those. For heavier connections to the sprue, good old toenail clippers work just fine.

Here are a couple pic's Richard.....these come with a needle between the forks in the handle, so that should be removed first.

The flat cutting face makes these very easy to use without damge to your parts, and give you more control when trimming fine parts than the larger sprue cutters

Got a picture? I'd be interested in what this device looks like. I've never heard of a fishing line cutter - I always just used my jacknife Laugh [(-D].

Fishing Line Cutters !!

I came across a handy little tool that works great for cutting parts from sprues (small ones) AND it works fantastic for trimming off the part left over from the sprue.

Fishing line cutters ! They work like tweezers, and look like nail trimmers without the handle.

The flat face allows you to trim the excess sprue on your parts without any damage to even the smallest parts......They work GREAT !

You can purchase them at any fishing tackle shop....I found mine at Walmart.

Happy modeling !
