Mr. Surfacer vs. Mr. Dissolved Putty?
Hey there folks - I have a question for anyone familiar with these two products. I've been using the Mr. surfacer products for a while now - 500 for filling smallish gaps, and 1000/1200 for priming. The 500 works o.k. if the gap is really small, but I find myself having to apply multiple layers, and then when I try and remove the excess with lacquer thinner/Mr. Color thinner I end up often removing too much!
So I picked up this Mr. Dissolved Putty, and it seems fairly similar to Mr. Surfacer 500.
Has anyone used these two, and what's the advantage of one over the other? At first glance, Mr. Dissolved appears to be a little thicker, and to fill a bit better (in spots). Both are lacquer based, I guess, so both will thin/be removed the same way.
But I'm trying to figure out if this Mr. Dissolved works better/worse than Mr. Surfacer in any/all applications.
