What is a cellulose thinner?
Posted by somenewguy on Sunday, March 16, 2008 4:27 PM

I bought Maskol by Humbrol yesterday and then when I read the label it said to clean the brush with a cellulose thinner. I've got Tamiya x-20, is that the stuff? No? Then what is?

Cheers

Cellulose thinners are everyday lacquer thinners.

Make sure you only use lacquer thinners in a well ventilated area (if cleaning brushes, do it outside) and try to avoid getting it on your skin.

Tamiya's X-20 is an enamel thinner and X-20A is an acrylic thinner.
