Where to get rid of 100's of 1990's FSM magazines?
Posted by lestouffer on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 8:43 AM

In this age of digital media, we are purging our tiny house (or just small) of lots of paper. Included in that are stacks of older FSM magazines and about 1000 pounds of (mostly) WW2 books.  I am really interested in not just dumping all the magazines in the trash.  Is there somewhere/someone who might be interested in these and can you point me in the right direction?  Thanks.  ~ the wife of a once obsessed model maker.

Selling any of that is unlikely. The books you can probably just drop off at the library. They may shelve some and hold the rest for the yearly book sale many have. Maybe the magazines you can find a scout troop or something that you can drop them off. If nothing else some kid may pick a few up and they might spur an interest.

As you already know, the world will collapse under the weight of saved National Geographic mags one day.

A number Army Viet Nam scans from hundreds yet to be done:

Donate them to your local IPMS chapter.  You could also sell them on ebay in lots or per year.  Media mail is cheap.  The mags will usually get 5-6 bucks per 12 issues.  Craigslist is another option.

What kinds of books do you have? I might be able to take some of them. Would you be able to ship them to Canada? Thanks
