Sherman jerry cans and packs
Posted by TomcatModelKits on Thursday, November 09, 2017 6:14 PM

I'm building a Tamiya 1:48 firefly and I am going to put it in a diorama with infantry and jerry cans and stuff.  Where were jerry cans usually placed on sherman tanks?  I assume that they'd be placed in the rear because most of the incomic fire would hit the front of the tank, turning them into fireballs.

Yes they placed in the rear.  Most Shermans had a rear storage rack that ran across the rear to carry jerry cans and other cargo, along with other cargo on the rear deck and in front of the transmission casing.
