U.S. Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 7:09 AM
Hello everyone. I am putting these pictures of the U.S. Army Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds for everyone to use as reference photos. I know that a lot of people have books on some of the vehicles that I will be putting on here, but books aren't like seeing the subject up close and personnal. Since I work and live around the museum, it's not hard for me to take time after work and during the weekends to go there and take some photos. Hope you all enjoy. If I make a mistake on one of the vehicles please email me and let me know so I can make the proper changes. And now time for the show to begin.

And two interesting shots of the interior of the drivers compartment, even though it has seen better days.

Thanks for the pics falcon. Sure is a crying shame of the condition of that Elefant. There aren't many of them left.

No problem at all. Being that I work and live near the museum its no problem stopping in a taking some pictures. Now for the question on the Elefant. From what I know so far about this great beast is that it was supposed to be shipped somewhere and the drivetrain locked up. It has been sitting out in the open and not fenced in. So whos to say that some youngster that lives in the housing area that its near doesnt get a hair up his rear and decided to do some unwanted painting on her. Maybe I will call today and get some feedback and let you all know later today.
