Oh how I miss the Ordnance Museum. The only thing that is there now is grass and weeds and a plane. It's a shame really.

When the ordnance school moved to Fort Lee, Virginia so did the museum Dave. I haven't seen anything on the Fort Lee webpage about the museum being done yet, which is sad.

No problem at all. I looked at Fort Lee's webpage and they have some of the stuff sitting out from what it looks like. When the wife and I are coming back from Myrtle Beach I might have to make a pit stop there lol.
I miss the place too. I live about 20 minutes away and went there several times. I really regret not being able to take my grandsons there. I doubt very much that the museum that they had envisioned being bult will ever get done, at least not without the donation of a wealthy benefactor. At the very least, I hope that they can get the vehicles under cover and out of the weather. And if that's not possible, then auction them off like they did when the Normandy museum shut down.

The problem when it was here at A.P.G wasn't the money, it was the base itself. They wouldn't let them build the facility to store them indoors where they needed to be.
Hey Tal Afar Dave have you been to the AAF tnak museum in Danville, Virginia? It's a pretty nice museum.
If you ever find yourself in Austin, Texas and need to fill some time, please check out The Texas Military Force Museum at Camp Mabry.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord up here near Tacoma are currently remodeling their museum. It's closed til January 2017, but I'm looking forward to getting in there when they do open it. Looks like they have some interesting pieces parked outside as well.
