If you good folks on the forum can use some of my experiences and limited photographs in regards to modeling the infantry of the USMC, let me know. I would love to throw in my two cents based on my experience with Marine Expeditionary Units deployed abroad.

I would be willing to answer specific questions in regards to modeling only.
Any questions regarding current operations in Iraq or Afghanistan will not be answered, since I received my honorable discharge in 2002. Again please do not ask me for my opinion on current world events, politics or anything that is not of benefit to modeling.
My reason for doing this is to contribute to the modeling community. I model aircraft, and that is all that I care about right now. Since I cannot offer any advice on the accuracy of the non-Marine related models that I build, I would like to offer what I know to the model builders that are interested in infantry related gear, weapons, cammie paint and the like.

My relevant experience:

1999, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable (MEU[SOC])

Job Title: Assault Rocket (SMAW) gunner

2001, 15th MEU(SOC)
Deployed overseas as an assault team leader in Operation Enduring Freedom. Deployed to Pakistan, and Afghanistan

Job Title: Assault Team Leader.

Hope to be of service to you soon....

"Corporal Jack"
