Great pictures. The combination of natural light and a first-rate model makes for a really effective photo. I was surprised when I saw that I was looking at a 1/48 kit!
The Piper Cub is truly an immortal aircraft. The last one I saw was at an airshow in Virginia Beach, about thirty years ago. It treated us to an incredibly slow 180-degree turn with no banking.
I've always thought a fine subject for a ship model would be an LST with the "slingshot" gear they occasionally used to launch and recover Piper Cubs.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
