Modified background and new model

Excellent technique. Thanks for sharing that, Don.

I applied flat aluminum first.  Then I used a sharp ended toothpick with end cut to create about 1/16 inch spot.  I detailed now with silver metallic (gloss stuff).  I shake the bottle, then take off cap and sit it upside down on bench.  The layer of paint that remains in cap is just right thickness to dip toothpick in and use toothpick to stamp the paint onto the cowl, sometimes dragging it just slightly.

Nice background, nice model.

Not sure how you did the dimpled/pounded effect on the nose section but it surely does look good.

Can you do it in a brownish tint when you do ? You know like an old Dageurratype or Sepia toned print ?

Been thinking of that.

Very nice Don. It would probably look cool as a "antique" B&W  as well.
