Vallejo Model Air vs. Mig Ammo
Posted by Niko on Friday, January 24, 2020 10:35 AM

On my previous thread, we discussed airbrushing paints and a fellow poster, jon_a_its strongly recommended Ammo by Mig over Vallejo Model Air for airbrushing. I have never used Mig paints and I would like to know what you guys think about the two paints. Which one sprays better? I moved the discussion here for organizational purposes.

As of now, I want to buy some Model Air paints over Mig just because of price. At Free Time hobbies, Model Air is $1.39 and Mig is $3.39 as Scalehobbyist.

Please let me know what you think. Thank you!

Hopefully some of the members have tried both, I'd be interested to read the comparison's too.  Here's an older thread to read up until then:

Curious for an explanation for the prices, has to be more than just the stainless steel ball added in each bottle.   Mig Ammo has also 'scaled' their formulas for models, so paint colours will be lighter compared to what other brands might have.
