Hello Don!

Yeah, that's the thing - a modeler, especially a scratchbuilding modeller - finds a nice material everywhere! And most of the time it's free, because people throw it away!

I was using advertising folders to print out my own parts for paper models that I needed to modify in order to make them accurate.

Good luck with your builds and have a nice day

Paweł

Lately I have been getting a lot of advertising flyers and postcards printed on card stock, and it is a really great modeling material.  I have used it to make pallets for applying CA glue.  The stuff has a plastic coating on it, so even the thin stuff does not soak in.

Lately I have even been using it as card stock for material that goes into the project.  The plastic coating makes it prime and paint very nicely.  I used to hoard a supply of old IBM punch cards, but this stuff I seem to be getting almost every day in the mail is even better than punch cards- the plastic coating seems to be thicker and glossier.  Thanks, advertisers, I appreciate your contribution to my modeling materials!
