Thanks for the photos.  Those things are notoriously difficult to get a good look at in photos I've found.

YesNo problem and enjoy your build.

And for anyone ever in that area the Planes of Fame museum is a real hoot and well worth the time.

Howdy,

I am starting to think about my next build, a 48th scale P-26C Peashooter. There is a lot of rigging on this bird. There are these stiffeners that of course are not included in the kit. My question is, what scale of rod would approximate a stiffener? .020? Or something else?

Yup, I use .020 or .032 brass rod depending on scale.  It is easy to round the cut edges with sandpaper or small file.

I am not remotely knowledgeable about rigging but maybe these pics will help a bit. I took this at the Planes of Fame museum in Chino CA. The heavily cropped image is a bit grainy but shows more detail on the stiffener. Seems like your .020" might be about right. If my arithmetic is right that would be about .96" in 1/48 scale and the photo seems like about an inch in diameter for the stiffener might not be far off the mark. Good luck with your build, such a neat little airplane.
