Academy 1/72 scale Schwimmwagen

Marie Michel
Brusvily, Brittany, France

“It’s a diorama from the Battle of the Bulge,” says Marie, who used Academy’s 1/72 scale Schwimmwagen and figures from SHQ.

Very nice little dio. But the the Battle of the Bulge was fought in the winter, Why is there green grass and no snow?

Too many Schwimmwagens are clean underneath. I like how you have captured the look of the vehicle had actually crossed a few muddy streams. subfixer has a point and if entered in a contest you may want to change the location & time of your vignette.

I especially like the signs; it adds excellent realism to what might be Kampfgruppe Peiper?

In response to subfixer's comment about snow: In the early stages of the battle, there actually was no snow on the ground, as evidenced by many well known photographs (including those that apparently inspired this diorama).
