Dave built Tamiya's 1/48 scale P-47D Thunderbolt as a fictional 56th Fighter Group "Jug" for his godfather. Dave enhanced the model with a photoetched-metal seat harness as well as scratchbuilt detail such as plug wires and brake lines. He weathered the Thunderbolt with Pastel chalks and a silver pencil.
