Here's my little corner of the model-building world. It started as a small home office, but like ivy, my model building has slowly taken over the space. One of the things I find invaluable is having access to my PC in the same work area. Not only can I quickly find information, but I have an unlimited reference source during a build.
I built a custom fan box for spraying that fits tightly against the wall. When I need it, I open up the clear cover, prop two sides on it, and I'm ready to paint! A strong fan draws the fumes outside.
I've built scale models off and on for most of my life. I took a lengthy hiatus but recently returned to the hobby. My two young daughters are also smitten with modeling (my wife thinks it's a conspiracy!), and they share the workspace with me. Future plans of a home addition include a full basement - I'm claiming 50% (still in negotiations) for a new model shop!
