John Gagliardi
West Chester, Pennsylvania

John modeled Tamiya’s 1/35 scale M3 Lee “as used by the British in Burma,” he says, with a scratchbuilt interior, rear stowage boxes, anti-mine netting, gun stabilizer, track grousers, and smoke launchers. He also modified the rear engine deck, turret, and driver’s visor with Eduard photoetched metal, and further armed the tank with a Jordi Rubio 37mm barrel, AFV Club tracks, and Formation bogie wheels and pioneer tools. John used Tamiya acrylics for the drab and the stars, and weathered with pastels and artist’s oils.
