Bob Mack
Fairbury, Illinois

Starting with Tamiya’s 1/35 scale M1046 Humvee, Bob added a Mig M1114 conversion kit and a Blast Models weapons ring. He made his own armor for the weapons ring as well as a flip-up shield on the rear deck, wired the grenade launchers and drilled them out to look empty; the covers for the rear ones are made of tissue paper. “My son drove a Humvee for the 101st Airborne in Baghdad for a year, losing one to an IED. The model is a tribute to all the brave soldiers who drove these, not wondering if they were going to be hit but when.”
