“I chose AMT/Ertl’s electronic X-wing fighter because I wanted a larger X-wing in my ‘Star Wars’ collection,” Pierre says. He painted with Testors Model Master flat gull gray and used Tamiya gunmetal for the exhaust nozzles. Weathering is with airbrushed Tamiya flat black and pastels applied with a small brush. His research indicates the model is 1/35 scale. “It has operating features which add some interest as well,” he says.
