Max painted his Lindberg 1/48 scale SM-62 Snark with Testors enamels. Although the concept of the missile was presented by Jack Northrop in 1946, modifications, unsuccessful tests, and program glitches dragged its development into the 1960s, when President Kennedy finally killed the project. By then, the waters off Cape Canaveral (where it was tested) were said to be “Snark infested.”
