Wheeling, Illinois

Randy placed Tamiya’s 1/35 scale German 88mm gun and figures in a diorama he built for a friend. with some figures. “The firing pit is Styrofoam cut to shape and covered with light paper towels soaked in a 50/50 mix of water and Elmer’s white glue. When that dried, I covered with glue again and applied dirt gathered years ago by filling peanut butter jars with water and soil. Shake it up and the heaviest dirt settles to the bottom. Drain the water and sift the dirt through a screen if you don’t want any twigs or stones.” He put mounting pins in his figures so he can stick them anywhere in the Styrofoam base.
