Andrew Bloom
Haughton, Louisiana

Andrew writes: “My project, "The Road to St. Vith," portrays an Königstiger of sPzAbt 506 supporting 18.Volks-Grenadier Division just outside Andler, Belgium.” He added Zimmerit from Eduard’s King Tiger kit to Dragon’s tank and assigned 16 figures to the crossroads scene: four from the Dragon tank kit; four others from Dragon's German Combat Unit, Ardennes 1944/45; another four from Academy’s German Infantry; and tank figures from MiniArt’s winter German tank crew. The turret numbers and balkenkreuz are Archer dry transfers. Celluclay is the foundation of the groundwork, which he painted with FolkArt acrylic paints. He says, “My figure painting is getting there, but there’s always room for improvement.”
