traveling retiree with big plans, Richard made a 3/4" (1/16 scale) model
of Melinda May, a houseboat he plans
to build and live on. “Although I expect the full-size houseboat to look even
better, this will give you a good indication of the design. The two white
objects on the front deck are 40-pound propane tanks which will serve a gas
stove in the cabin and a fish cooker on the rear deck. I intend to spend a lot
of time on the rear deck, fishing, cooking, whatever. Here we see the boat at
anchor in a local pond. I am inside taking a nap!”
