Photographer Vince Pugliese wrote, “Will’s Mk.IX Spitfire came out of the 1/72 scale Hasegawa kit. He added lead foil harnesses to the cockpit and modified the wing from the kit-supplied C type to the E type of the aircraft he wanted to model. This included installing the clipped wing tips, which were provided as options in the Hasegawa kit. The markings are from Model Art, the proverbial spares box, with hand-sprayed roundels on the wing. It represents a Spitfire of the Groupe de Chasse I/4 “Dauphine” stationed in French Indochina sometime in the late 1940s.”
